BMW, Honda, Ducati, Yamaha, Harley, Triumph, Moto Guzzi... favorite bike?
or any others.... I once had a dream of a 1990 California III Moto Guzzi... then the GF was preggers (got married) and my Guzzi dream died. I was gonna ride all over Europe on it.
You guys are awesome... I forgot all about the Vincent... there was a shop in San Diego that had a Black Shadow as a wall display. The bike was put on a platform suspended from the ceiling about 10' from the floor.... it was so cool.
...and what an impassioned plea from the Barrister for the Indian. It was a VERY cool bike. (though... the Indian www site says its Americas first Motorcycle.... I would have thought it was the Excelsior or Henderson)

Dude -
Guzzis are cool. And so are Triumphs. But for my dream, only an Indian will do. It has the heritage that can't be touched by most of the japanese bike manufacturers. In fact, they're getting their own US postage stamp! The company went under because of bad management - but the bikes were the ones used in WWII and the ones that Harley copied.
i'm practical so I ride a Honda. But when it comes to style, Indians are at the top.
dude - don't give up your dream - there are ways to get there.
some guy traded a red paper clip for a house (see website below) so anything is possible.
ride on!

My favorite was a 1973 850 El Dorado Moto Guzzi until the distrubutor cam broke while coming down the mountain in Wallhalla South Carolina. Took a year to get the parts from Italy to repair and by then I had a boat.

I think all motorcycles are beautiful. I do like the vintage cafe racers.
But so far have only ridden two bikes. 78 Honda CB400A and 85 Suzuki Intruder.

Ducati 900 SS was fun, but my insurance company wanted $ 1400.00 every year. I like BMW r1200. Nice bike to ride around.
