    It depends on the job you're applying for. If you're applying for a car sales position paid on comission, just say you want to make a lot of money. If you're applying to be a teacher, say you want to enrich the lives of children and give something back to the community, and you've always wanted to be a teacher. If you're applying for a corporate job, say you're looking for opportunity for career growth where people are promoted on merit, and a stable job where you can settle down and raise your family, or whatever. It totally depends on the job.

    Career objectives shall be:

    1. Achievement in the job assigned presently

    2. Promotion at specified intervals (say 4 years)

    3. Equipping academically to suit for excelling in the performace of the job to be in the future.

    4. Recognition at all levels

    5. Leaving the career with a stamp of class in the area/discipline in which experience has been gained.

    If you are planning to give an interview, then just say that you want to do some constructive work in your field of which you can be proud of or something like that which gives an impression that you are a hardworking guy and is looking for a long term relationship with the company.

    Regardless of field and profession,career objective would be to sharpen the skills one has and to further develop knowledge by means of practice.
