Q-Consider the hydrogen atom to be a proton embedded in a cavity of radius (Bohr radius)whose charge is neutralised by addition of an electron to the cavity in vacuum, infinity slowly.Estimate the avg total energy of an electron in its ground state as the work done in the above neutralization process.Also if the magnitude of the avg. Kinetic energy is half of the magnitude of the average Potential energy, find the avg. potential energy

    any quantum physics book, or most web sites on the subject, will provide the necessary info. like you said, you have a test next week so you have plenty of time.
