What's the most selfish, horrible, materialistic thing you've ever prayed for?

I prayed that God would make him mine...

A cottage. Not really horrible but definitely materialistic. I always wanted a cottage, someplace to go to retreat from the world. I plan to work for that, but I still think I should be handed one because of all the crap I went through as a child and young person.

The last time I prayed to "god" was over 30 years ago. I think it was for the death of my step father (we was shall we say abusive?) I hated him. However now I find out that he has been dying a slow and debilitating death. Was it wrong? Not if it is justified.

I always wanted a super power, usually invisibility or super strength. I prayed often for that growing up. That was actually before I became a Christian; when I was saved, I really didn't think about super powers that much, let alone pray for them. Recently I thought about the times I prayed for super powers, and I realized God showed me I don't need them, I need Him.

You are awful. Would that not get you into the "hell" you believe in?

BTW, I'm not religious, so I don't pray and so I have never been so selfish to think I should just get something like that.
