First off, if I'm not interested in you, I'm not gonna waste my time flirting with you. So any girl who "flirts just to mislead and laugh at them" is a cold hearted b*tch. Second, yes, girls flirt with guys to let them know they like them. It's not very fun or classy to say "Hey, let's go back to my place and bang." And third, yes, some guys perceive being plain friendly as flirting. So at this point, if the guy asks the girl out and she's not interested, she must say so...politely. That way he doesn't keep thinking she wants him.

I rarely flirt just to flirt. I do not like leading anyone on or giving false hopes.

I was best friends with a male for problably 3-4 years. We were very close. I am a very affectionate person, but I would NEVER even hug him because I knew that he loved me in a different way than I loved him and I didn't want to do ANYTHING to give him the wrong idea.

I don't like when it is done to me and wouldn't want to create that false sense of hope.

But there are people out there who like to mess with people's heads and like to do it simply because they think they can

i am a naturally smiley giggly chick and one day at work a guy came in and asked me for some help to pick out a leather coat, well i seriously had the giggles that day and i couldn't stop laughing and i told him and apologized and everything but aparantly my giggling got him thinking i was gitty about him and he came back the next day and asked me out and i had to say no b/c i am married but i felt sooooooooooo bad b/c i started thinking maybe he thought i was leading him on by laughing so much. it really had nothing to do with him but i couldn't stop.....................just the laughing and smiling was too much for him i guess.

but no i never INTENTIONALLY flirt to mislead, that is just mean.
