What are the greatest/most lamest EMO bands?

Emo does *not* suck. Anyone who is familiar with what emo and the entire emo scene really is about knows this. The problem comes with a lot of pop-emo groups like Fallout Boy, AFI, etc using the emo label and styles to appeal to teeny-boppers. REAL emo music is incredible and meaningful. Let's just stop with the labels though. Good music is good music no matter what "genre" it is classified under.

There is not really a way to judge a emo band about how emo they are but all you need to know is if they play emo music

I'd say the two biggest emo bands would be Morrisey and Dashboard Confessional.

Morrisey kinda started the whole emo scene.

And Dashboard kinda revived it.

And now we must beat Chris Carrabba with sticks for doing so.

Or beat Morrisey for starting it.

I love Hawthorne Heights.. they're categorized as emo.
