How do I find out if a guy is a fraud? He says he is a special investigator for the State.?

He claims he is a special investigator for the State. I would hate for him to be impersonating an officer or officer of the State of Texas. He may not be, but I sure would like to find out. I personally think he is a bailiff.

How do I find out?

First let him think you believe that it is really cool he is an investigator and then slip into the conversation the question of what office does he works for (i.e. Texas rangers, etc.). Continue the act of it's really a cool job he does.

Then the next day call the office he supposedly works for and ask them if he is for real. Tell them what he is saying. If he is not what he says he is, they will be very interested.

Get his name and department/agency. Then call their local office and ask some questions. If he is impersonating an agent of the State, that is a felony in most states.
