Why is it when you cry......?
Why is it when you cry, even if it's only for a minute or so, you are left completely exhausted? You can excersize for an hour, run around with the kids, and make a full dinner, and not be as completely exhausted as when you cry for a few moments?

When you cry, you're releasing emotion that has been stored up inside you, whether it's crying at a favorite movie or after a painful event in your life. Mostly after a painful event has happened, one tends to "store" the pain within themselves and the body keeps going purely on adrenaline...a defense mechanism. When the body is finally allowed to release the pain through crying, the act of crying itself allows the adrenaline release to stop...it's the body's way of allowing itself to heal and rest, thus the feeling of exhaustion is finally felt.

Crying is an Emotion, emotion are tied to the chemicals that you release in the body when you are feeling a certain way. what ever hormones your body release when you cry makes you sleepy or exhaust.
note: The way people feel is due to what chemical your brain releases into your body. This what love is a chemical. IT's Quite natural though.

Emotional upheavals take more out of the body than almost anything. A scare, a moment of true joy, etc are draining.
