how do you learn to develop your psychic side?

Psychism (also tied to basic intuition) seems to be one of those gifts locked away in the human mind. We know that animals have instincts, and I believe human psychism has some connection with that -- knowing whose calling you before you answer the phone, feeling that a friend is in trouble etc. If you think about all life as a tapestry in which each person is a strand, a psychic knows how to follow those strands intuitively forward and backward.

Now, I will say that I believe this -- as psychism is as yet unprovable. There are some excellent methods -- breathing, meditation, and good old practice that helps. What's most important is that you find the right media for you (tarot cards, candles, etc.). Its very hard in this short space to share more, but I hope I've helped a little.

With me it was demon assisted. At 7 years old I was very ill and a relative went to a Spiritualist healer. Following that I had Telepathy, Precognition and could Astral Project. There was a cost, however. Something called Telepathic Static, which is like being in a very noisy party just getting snatches of conversation. Also, after 14 years I could easily have been diagnosed as a psychotic schizophrenic.

Fortunately for me, I met a couple of Charismatic Christians and was exorcised. I have had no problems ever since.

I do, however, have a number of Spiritual Gifts which are what ESP abilities are counterfeits of. These are Holy Spirit based, not demonic.

There are allot of good books out there regarding this. Sylvia Browne is good, also talking to a trusted Psychic may also help you as they have some tips on how you can develop your own side. I recommend www.keen.com, please read their bio's carefully as not all of them are "gifted" I'm still in the beginning stages of my growth and I also found that when I feel something or see it, I'll just say it. You'll be surprised at how many are true, but if they weren't then it was no big deal. Read up on some good books, even look into classes.

Are you watching this nonsense on Channel 4 by any chance? I'm sorry, but what a load of rubbish! If a child says "train," chances are, he's playing trains - not that he can sense that there was once a railway line close by!!

If you're not watching that doc, then I recommend you don't worry about developing your psychic side...work on something more worthwhile.

Here are the keys:

1) Make sure you are doing this for the right reason, to help others and not just yourself.

2) Start trusting your instincts, the more you use/practice something the better it gets.

3) Become more aware of yourself and your surroundings.

4) Meditate daily.

I am sorry, but you can't do this, because there is no such thing as a psychic side. Many people believe there is, but those who say they have such talents have never been able to prove it. Sorry to disappoint you.

Generally, its considered a gift, then you learn technique.

You can't. It's something you're born with. Like perception.
