I am scared.... a question about laser treatment !?

Hi all,

I want to get my tattoo removed which is on my wrist. i had to undergo laser treatment which just completed in about 10 mins. After this treatment they suggested me to take some tablets for 7 days and apply a cream on the treated area. I have not used the cream nor taken the tablets and its been like 15 days now. Will that cause any problems... does laser treatments cause problems like cancer ...etc
