Think I'll get a sexual harrassment case filed against me?

A young, female coworker didnt bring a lunch and she didnt want to go out for lunch either. I happen to have brought two sandwiches for myself, a PB&J sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. Im eating the PB&J sandwich when I say here take this roast beef sandwich. She said "no, im not taking your sandwich from you."

I replied with "Trust me, I've got alot more beef than this." What I meant was that I have a lb of this roast beef at home in the fridge.

honestly, you need to tell the truth. I'm sorry, i understand where you're coming from about not wanting your family to know, BUT this guy and the company are going to get in trouble over nothing. You know what? i couldn't care less about the company, but i feel bad for the guy. He's going to catch flack from everyone. Co-workers (although he won't have a job cause he's a manager fooling around with an employee) will hate him, his wife will be even MORE upset (lets face it, he's a douche for cheating on his wife, BUT sleeping with someone is not the same as sexually harassing someone.) His parents, his family. You need to think about this really hard. Even though you'll get a way out, he's going to be screwed for a while. Maybe not an answer you wanted to hear, but i'm sorry i had to get it out. p.s. i don't condone cheating in any way shape or form. And like i said this guy is an ****** for it, still kinda feel bad for the guy.

Whoops...you may want to clarify what you meant with her.

I sincerely doubt you would have a case filed against you, but it is possible that an overly sensitive co-worker could complain to your superior, which would spark an investigation and a possible ding on your employment record.

I'd casually apologize for the possible misunderstanding, and move on.

Dont worry nothing will happen. Just keep doing your job and next time watch out for beef, somebody might be vegetarian.

It all depends on how you handled your delivery of that line.

If you said it, and then caught yourself and nervously laughed or chuckled and turned a little red you are okay. We all say goofy stuff. And hopefully her mind wasn't in the gutter to begin with.

NOW--If you said it all lusty with a smoky husky voice and then grabbed your package followed by sticking your tongue out and making your eyes real big and saying "Arrrooooga" like those cartoons, followed by you forcing oral sex on her....then you may have a problem.
