How did you get so wise?
This is for all the young skeptics on here. How on earth did you get so wise while still in your teens. I would suspect that the average age on here would be late teen-early twenties. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they became all knowing, smart enough to judge other people and in general make complete asses of themselves. It is really quite miraculous to me, until the Lord stops me and makes me think. This is the age of rebellion. Rebel all you want, but leave my religion out of it. I fully expect to get a lot of flack on this but know something? I don't care. Fire when ready, Gridley.

Most people think that they know it all or think that they have the right to judge other people for their beliefs and opinions. It will take some time before they realize how big of fools they are making out of themselves. It is hard to rebel and leave religion out of it because that it what most people are rebelling against. If we all believed in the bible and followed the Lord there wouldn't be any rebellion among anyone. Most people can contribute off of life experiences, but most seem to think that they know everything and think that they are right, but will be proven wrong in the end. I can't say age has everything to do with it, most are young but there are some out there who are older and still act and think like the young ones out there today. Judgment day is drawing nigh and they will answer for their rebellion and foolishness.

I'm an old fart but still learning. That's what's so amazing about His Word. I'm still finding new stuff in there. One or two word phrases that just jump out with new meaning.
As this is an open forum there is a lot of animosity and resentment as well as a plethora of agendas. I <try> and wade through the nonsensical questions, forgive the outright attacks and answer, as best I can, the valid questions that arise now and then.
God bless you.

When a human being is born, their brains are wired properly (unless they have a genetic defect) from millions of years of evolution with reason, logic and common sense. In the era when the world was dog eat dog and you did or died, you had to be sharp. The sharp survived, procreated and populated the earth with smart people.
As kids get older, their natural rationalism and intelligence is destroyed by religion or mindless work (like putting one screw in a socket on an assembly line over and over for 8 hours a day) or crooked politicians and leaders who are swindling them.
It's a shame that so much natural intelligence has been squandered by our social system.
The only way for kids to build upon their natural intelligence is to keep feeding it. Pour more and more information into your brain and you might one day have the Nobel Prize in whatever field sparks your imagination!
Source(s): Note: Thank heaven for those who don't believe in the Bible and came to understand real cause and effect in the world. It is those "nonbelievers" who set their minds on problems that led to the automobile, air conditioning, medicine, rocketships, etc. Without them, we'd still be praying for bacon that didn't kill us and sacrificing our most beautiful girls for bountiful crops. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Here's your flack just as you deserve.
You are assuming that everyone on here that disagrees with you is immature. Having this attitude is what actually makes YOU immature.
I haven't been a teenager in a very long time.
I can also make the assumption (using your logic) that anyone on here that goes on and on about Jesus and the end times is a dimwit, trail trash cracker with bucked teeth who is married to their cousin in Alabama. I can say this, though I know it isn't true. Some of you are actually from Indiana.

It's not just teens who think they're all knowing. So do some older people, so do some christians, so do some catholics, so do some jews, so do some atheists, so do ALL sorts of people. Wake up buddy, let's not just make a general statement to cover a huge group of people, that just makes you sound like a kid. It's time to just live and let live.

Saints become Saints by the incredible pain they have had to face in life. Wisdom comes from the pain. When the wisdom gleaned from the pain is accepted however, serentity takes it's place. And that is the final lesson and requirement to becoming a Saint.

All teenagers think they know everything, I did till I got older and figured out I don't know even half of anything, I'm 29 now and know I still have lots to learn

Son, your assumption that we're all in our teens is unfounded.
At least I am far from it.
Oh, and forget about your whining to "leave [your] religion out of it"
christians never leave their religion out of MY business, so until you learn to live and let live, I will continue work to hold your religion in check from tearing down religious freedom in the US.
