What is Lieberman thinking?

Does he still believe he has a chance to win the election? Does he expect to pull some voters from both parties? Or will he simply play spoiler to help the Republican candidate to win?

Update:

In case you haven't read the news lately, Joe Lieberman (the incumbant Democratic Senator from Connecticut) lost his party's primaries last night to newcomer Ned Lamont. This morning, Lieberman announced that he already had enough signatures on a petition to run as an independent party in the November election.

He has a big chance of winning, drawing from both his own core voters as well as Republican's who agree with him agreeing with Bush.
