How were the Chinese were able to successfully evacuate 1.5 million people before the 'super typhoon' hit?

They had New Orleans as an example, so that may have helped.

But truthfully the media in China is controlled by the government. The report was most likely faked.

For example if China and the USA had a sports meet, where only the two countries participated and the USA won, the Chinese media would report it something like this:

Keep in mind that the Chinese (communist) government has more control over its people and what the Government says, that is it. The people do not complain that their freedoms are being taken away by being evacuated, etc, etc. but in the U.S., the Government, unfortunately, has to be careful that it is not sued (and it probably would be sued anyway) if/when carrying out evacuation orders.. Americans do not want to give up any freedoms even though they do not realize it but they have already given up so much already by police laws, etc.

we in american can do this way but we are lacking the plan here..i bleive if the entire new orleasn was evacated 12 hours before the storm hit, the death would be like 75% decrease........

someone from old west key from fl,.,say that the top part of the key west get to evatcted a hour before the middle one does

then the last one get evated last.........so the traffice is smoother

In China, the government can FORCE an evacuation. They send the army in and drag everyone out.

What do you think would happen if someone tried that in the U.S.?

they knew that something really bad was coming to kill them, New Orleans had the problem of people believing they could ride out the storm, but ended up trapped in their homes
