If 'suspect liquids' are to be banned from planes - what about alcoholic drinks?

I'd never thought about this until today..... most 'spirits' are about 40% proof & burn REALLY well. Just one match or a lighter and it's blazing infero time.... they wouldn't let you carry 5 or 6 litres of petrol on board or any sharp objects, so why breakable GLASS filled with ALCOHOL!?!?

Never mind the infamous 'shoe bomber' - what about 'booze burners'!

The problem is not burning. It is combining two inert liquids to form a volatile substance, wither a bomb or chemical weapon.

Liquids are not banned from the plane, you just cannot take your own through security.

precisely. Ridiculous ban. the scholars that have been sickened admitted to including vodka to their 4 LOKOS. i've got been observing the community information in this and that all of them look so stupidly gleeful approximately this absurd ban. The Governor has even in comparison those drinks to Joe Camels attraction with teen ager's. The question they could be asking is the place the Phrock did those under age young infants get the drinks interior the 1st place. we've allot of hypocrisy in politics right here in WA! upload: i've got been paying for out the community 7-11 each and every time they restock. Infact i'm on my way now to QFC, Safeway and Costco. i'm going to be prosperous merchandising it on the black industry. I discern i'm going to have the basement finished formerly the ban is going into result next week.

Glass with any liquid is not allowed at this time. You can buy some on the A/C but what are you going to light it with? Also, It would take a great deal to blow up an a/c. A simple fire could be put out with all the fire fighting equipment on the a/c.

A lot of the booze on planes is in plastic bottles and as you can't take a lighter or matches on board you have nothing to worry about.

Alcohol, toothpaste, make up, hair gel, sun tan lotion, etc. Any liquid basically is not allowed on any aircraft other than medication and one other thing. But it's all posted on yahoo news.

You can still buy drinks from the beverage cart once you're on board, but you can't bring anything on with you.
