I'm interested in online trading but need some pointers...?

Whats the easiest decently priced site and whats the best amount to start with say a $1000 i just wanna do a few trades every now and then. I dont wanna quit my night job yet though maybe if this takes off hehe. Thx for the answers.

    Trading stocks? You pay for each trade. Then the stock can lose value. Or, it can go up. It's a matter of patience? Yet, if it goes up, when do you sell? It's an impossibly answerless game, as my thinking goes. Buy and hold - or try the Warren Buffet way - be a near-genius and develop your own models to evaluate companies. Then, be very respectable, modest and helpful to them when you buy tons of stock. Good luck.

    scottrade works for me. Best tip: buy low sell high. If I were you I'd go for blue chip stocks and look long term.
