Interview questions?

IT is hard to say what you should have said without knowing what company you are applying for, because you want to relate it to them. But a general good answer is:

I am constantly striving for success. I don't settle for mediocre, and I won't settle for it here. When I work on something, I put in 100%. I believe in doing everything wholeheartedly. If I get this job, I will look for opportunities to improve the company and my work skills daily.

As far as selling yourself,

You need to know what your work ethic is. You have to say something that is true to you. For me, it would be something like:

I have a unique ability to perceive what people want in a product. I can see things, visualize things, that would improve the product this company creates. I know how to deal with people, and I put customer concerns first. I have never had a problem with a coworker. When things get tough, I don't give up. I do my best every day. I work hard, but I also remember how essential it is to be nice to other people. I am a good listener and I enjoy constructive criticism. I work well under pressure, but I can also finish things in a timely manner.

Something like that. But I could give you something better if I knew what kind of company it was.

The main thing to remember is you need to be true to yourself. You need to stay calm and give honest answers. Don't answer falsely. These people conduct interviews on a regular basis and could probably smell a lie from a mile away.

With respect to the second question - "how do I sell myself" - here's what I would recommend:

Look carefully at the role that you're going to play in the company, and identify three or four of the most important drivers of success in that job. Talk about these in the interview. "It looks to me like being successful in this job means doing X, Y, and Z particularly well." Have ready a couple of stories about how you have done X, Y, and Z in the past - focus on specifics, talk about what you accomplished and how you accomplished it. The more specific you can be, the better.

You'll also sell yourself well by referencing how much support you had from the teams that you worked with (in other words, showing that you are a team player) or by saying things like "I got some great coaching from my boss in this or that situation, and here's how I applied it." Basically, this shows people that you will take direction well.

Whether these things are really true or not isnt' as relevant as the fact that you can make the right noises to move people in a particular direction. Bosses - the folks who typically interview you - want to know that you will take direction well. I personally am an insubordinate loudmouth, but I know how to sell ideas and concepts to my bosses!

oh I hate this question!!!!!!!! Just be yourself. Let them know special things that you have done in the past such as any 2nd or 3rd languages, any past business experience that relates to the position applied for such as volunteer serv or helping out in the neighborhood. Maybe you set up parties or get togethers in your family. These are unique experiences that most ppl don't have. Also, were you involved in paper or tv or any clubs in school and helped organize these things.... just think... and your friend is right

You sale yourself everyday without ever realizing it. Think back to childhood.....Mom I really need because..... Mom if you let me do whatever then I promise I will do -----... get the point? Selling yourself is easy.... remaining calm and being yourself should be easy too

The only way to ensure you don't BS the question, is to think of your passion (work related) and let them know how you intend to share that passion with the company.

Whether it be detail driven, people friendly... believe it or not but letting them know if you are a healthy person and can be depended upon to be at work, on time near to always.

You just need to decide what you want to make of yourself as a contributor to any organization and market that.

Essentially they are asking you, "what makes you YOU, and why would we want that here".

First, you need confidence!

If you don't believe in you, know one else will.

You have a lot to offer a company, Talk about your strengths, motivation, leadership and experience. Let them know you are eager to learn and willing to invest your time into this company.

If you walk, talk and act intimidated and scared you will not get the job, or anywhere in life for that matter.

YOU CAN DO IT!!

it all depends on what kind of job you're applying for and what are the necessary qualifications. during the interview, make sure you emphasized on your work history and experience and education. Make a good impression by dressing up, in a casual but neat clothes. .

My ****, I am the only that got mine....seriously there is no wrong answer as long as it answers the question and makes sense. they want to see how you handle things under pressure. or rather how you handle things you dont see coming and cant prepare for.

Dont over sell yourself--just be honest, confident, and try not to be nervous

oh wow.. i recommend u to give the best of you... in interviews... but also be yourself. dont try to impress with superficial things.. try to improve yourself but not actin selfish.... interviewers take in determination about the way u talk about urself and they make a note about it and then analize if your self can fit in the company

Whatever your stong point is. You do need to sell yourself. You need to stand out in their mind as the best for the job.
