CFL fans-Whatever happened to the games where there would be 50,60,70 points or more?

I would check how many games actually got that high. While it likely happened more than in the past, it may be less than you thought. It may also depend on how far back you are going though.
I think really far back, players played both sides of the field like they do in arena football today. And since it is more fun and exciting to score than play defense, the players may have just put more into the offense. This is just a vague recollection of WWI era football, so it may not be relevant.
I also think defences are much more complex, and make being a QB much harder, resulting in less successful offences.

Did you not see last year's incredibly exciting high scoring OT Grey Cup? Have you not watching any games this year? I count 13 games so far over 50 pts. Our hometown team, the Lions seem to be involved in plenty of those high-scoring games so why not tune in every BC game?
And, remember with no Ottawa around the league is going to be a lot more competitive given the players on the 'Gades were all dispersed to the other teams. So no teams can now run up the score against wimpy teams really (bar Hamilton this year).

well there has been the odd one but i mean the QBs got hurt and well the defenses in the league are really good
