How do I set my home up to use free wireless in my town?

My town has free wireless on Main St. I'm one block off of Main Street but am not close enough to be able to make use of it. What equipment would I have to buy to be able to utilize the free wireless at my house?

    Try a "repeater." D-Link makes one called a range extender. Mine works great!

    Buy a wireless access point, or 2, or 5, somehow hook them up on the way to your house.

    Ok all you need is a wireless card for your laptop or home computer. You can go to wal-mart to get one.
