LADIES ONLY: Birth control question?

Your body is different from other women. I take birth control pill to regulate my periods or to even have one! I used to have heavy one, now I don't nor I do not really experience pain, just slight discomfort. My periods usually only last for 3 days and I know when it comes! You can try the pills and see how they work for you. If the pill is not meeting your expectations then try something else. I nor longer take the pills, for I fell in love with the Ring!

It will most likely help. If, for some reason, that it does not help, your health care professional can look into the cause of your excessive pain and bleeding (especially if there are dark clots accompanying your menstration) a bit further. Most likely your birth control will handle all of this, but, if it does not, there may be another reason for these continued conditions. Woman, even younger woman, have been known to develop tumors (non-cancerous) and may require a (partial) hysterectomy. This is unusual in younger woman, but something to consider if your birth control fails to suffice. good luck

The pill usually stops periods from being so hard. But if you have blood pressure problems, you might not want to.

Generally the heavy bleeding is from fibroids. Ask your doctor about the heavy bleeding.

Many women go on the pill for this exact reason. Your period would not only be less heavy, but it also helps with cramps and other symptoms as well.

Yes birth control will decrease the amount of bloodflow as well as the pain associated with it. Have you ever considered reading up on Endometriosis? It is a female reproductive disease.....read up on it.

Usually it will. It did for me. But my blood pressure was too high from the pill so I had to stop taking it.

yeah...i once had mine for 10 days...on the pill it is much shorter (3-4 days) and lighter and the best part is that you know the day it will start so you can be prepared...i still get cramps, but nothing like i used to

Yes, it helps PMS, cramps, and heaviness. Plus you know EXACTLY what day your getting your period. I'd recommend it.

I heard it does help some of us. But I wouldn't take it just for that. Go see a doctor instead.

Could help for that. Try it, but I'll suggest DONT go for depovera. (the shot that takes your period away and lasts for three months. it can REALLY kill your bones and make them brittle)

go to your doctor and ask for something that will help with your period. they'll help, they did for me!
