What is the Hazelwood area of St. Louis like? Is it a safe/good neighborhood?
I'm just trying to find out if this is a good location to stay. I've stayed in South county a number of times, but we got a great deal at the Ramada Inn in Hazelwood. Now I'm a little concerned we may have picked a bad area to stay. Any help would be appreciated.

That area is fine. You should have no problems. There are a bunch of hotels around the Westport area. That is a little south of Hazelwood.
