Contact all the farms in the area. They ALWAYS have scrap metal and stuff sitting around that they want removed.

I've done the same thing as you and still collect aluminum and copper whenever I can.

I've found that people on farms and in the 'burbs are usually pretty having to have someone take away their 'scrap'.

Hope it works out for you.

The only way you can spend money to make money is on advertising. It will all depend on how much you are willing to spend on it. I had a friend back when who said he contacted the railroads and they told him he could pick up the tracks anytime he wanted to. That was 10 years ago and it may have changed since then. About the car hauling...FARMS. I am from Minnesota so I don't know how many farms you have there but they always have old scrap metal and old cars on their properties. Good luck.

Source(s): Just talked to a former scrapper and he said with the gas prices and what most places pay, you really need to know what you are getting before you go out.

run an ad to haul old appliances away and the ones that work sell them to a used furniture dealer . Do garage sale clean outs and scrap anything you can't sell . You find some neat stuff that can sell at a flea market too. When the garage sales are over they will sometimes pay you to haukl it away .

Go to autobody shops and ask if they have scraps
