Christians only please. What would you tell someone who asks you this?

If someone told you the only certainties in life are death and taxes, what would you tell them?

Dear Glenn B: In this physical life taxes are a certainty, but in a working Relationship with Jesus - He can prosper you to ensure they are not a problem for you. We should be abundant through Jesus and the Holy Spirit for as Children of God we come from an abundant Creator and Kingdom. At home, within the Father, we HAVE - everything.

But death? Do you believe all You are is a physical body? That You are perishable? Let us look upon the demonstration of the Resurrection, the story of Lazarus and others similar.

Jesus, stood outside His Tomb seeing the Morning Star. Surely, the Bible's admonishment to never "go by appearances" was a forewarning about our own human-like appearance and the appearances of death that accompany the physical. So there He stood. . .in the physical once again, but through Partnership with The Holy Spirit Who supported Jesus' Will: To teach that we are our Father's Children - made in His Likeness, as spirit-mind, and Eternal as He is. The idea and Plan for physical life can only occur through thought and Mind and a Powerful Force of Energy that can manifest it's thought - into Being.

And, then too, there had stood Lazarus - at the bequest of Jesus to "Come Forth" from his Tomb. The immutable Mind that God Created was obedient to The Holy Spirit within Jesus, and stood like the Sword of Truth before us. With tattered linen wrappingss, he stands while the holy sons of God are represented and acknowledged - in his showing.

Behold God's Child ! Forever and ever - Amen.

well I think I would respond by saying that there is something else that is a certainty...that is Jesus Christ.....I would tell them how he came and died for them and the reason why and I would tell them of how He set me free and changed my life.....because He to me is more certain than death and taxes.......I would explain to them the difference between relationship and religion.....God is the biggest certainty I know of.

Those two are correct. But I would use it as a tool to witness to them about death, and their final destination. Either or that or I'd get them to thinking and say a third thing is an eternal life in Heaven or Hell.

Those are the certainties of life on this Earth. Eternity goes far beyond that. You can have eternal life through Christ Jesus.

i would tell them that they are somehow part right but while we live this life.. there is more to life than just paying taxes and death... there are the memorable moments with your loved ones that will be in your memory for a lifetime..and are worth more than my tax money.......................but that's just me......
