has anyone ever gotten a false negative from a pregnancy test?

i took 9 pregnancy tests and they were all negative, but when i couldnt stop throwing up at EVERY little smell, we went to the doctor and lo and behold it was POSITIVE, i was 10 weeks pregnant

My wife experience this twice when we were expecting our first kids.She missed her period for 2 months(We were planning for kid then) and we bought some pregnancy test kits from the pharmacy. On two separate occassion the test was negative. Till her 10 week pregnacy,which by then we had visit a doc the test again prove negative.Only on the 13th weeks did it turn on positive. The doctor explained to us that on some case, as the orgaism(I not so sure the medical term) that was indication for pregnancy that was passed out from the urine, was not sufficent for the test kits to pick up thus the result was shown negative.

Take another test to be sure it IS in fact a false negative.

If its a "false negative" then that means the test was positive. So plenty have.
