Isn't Yahoo Answers Just The Most Depressing Thing?

I know where you're coming from. In a way I think it's good that some people share similar views as I do with respect to opinion-related questions, but when it comes to questions like, "I have a problem with my car, how do I fix it?" it's kinda disconcerting to see others who can type faster than you and end up above you. lol.. but I leave my answer up there anyways.

What really depresses me are the politics / religion / war / race issue questions.. although everyone's entitled to their opinion, I have to say that some of the answers I've read show the sheer ignorance and blindness of some people and they don't base their opinion on facts.. but I respect their opinion anyway regardless of what I think.. now I ignore those questions.

I think Yahoo! Answers is a brilliant avenue to ask questions that you won't find on the internet or will take a lot of time to research. Or for questions that require a little local or specialised knowledge.

It also very much depends on the questions asked. I mean, if someone asks a question like "Is the pope Catholic?" then you would be among millions who will answer Yes, if you chose to answer it!

I find this place amusing. Amusing because 90% of the questions asked could easily be answered by the asker if s/he just typed the question into Google's search engine.

no.its depend on how u take it,positivly or negatively.its the place where u share ur idea,not to prove who is the best. sometimes,people have the same idea as we r but mostly,we had different idea. so,open ur mind for everybody n u will enjoy ur life n time here. just be happy to share ur idea coz whoknows,ur idea will cheer or help others!

If I'm not the first to answer something then I usually edit and change my answer to something more original. But that rarely happens. I'm not the slowest typer and I like to take pride in my originality!

That is bound to happen, there is like a million ppl on Y answers.

I usually look for questions, and I have a text file on my desktop to copy and paste.
