...multiculturalism works in the US better than many other countries I've visited, but it didn't happen without the passion of the people behind a movement. If someone from the UK could move the people like Martin Luther King, well--then maybe, yes.

I am from the US, and I seriously think multiculturalism is divisive and leads to self segregation, resentments and worse. I am all for a melting pot, with assimilation. I have no problem with religious diversity or honoring one's cultural heritage, but 'multiculturalism' is a problem.
