Both were good. But they were good in different ways. They both made me cry. But seeing and hearing did bring out different elements of the story. So in a way the movie tells a part of the story that the book alone couldn't...but it works both ways. It may depend on what you read/see first.

Usually, I would say the book is always better than the movie (read Forrest Gump), but in this case I'm going to have to go with the movie. This is mostly because I'm really not into love/romance kinds of novels. I thought the book was okay, but I loved the movie for the acting/passion.

The movie was so much better. I bought the book after I saw the movie thinking it would be the same, I should have known better no books are exactly like the movie. The book was good yes he is a great writer but seeing it not picturing it made it great.

I preferred how the book showed more insights on how the characters felt. I felt Noah to be much more in love in the book than in the movie.

That being said, the movie was beautiful.

I've read all of Nicholas' books. The movie was good, but I always prefer the books. You can paint your own picture.

The book is much better. I feel like you get to know the characters way better. And then you like them so much more.
