A person who has a mania for the dead, usually involving a sexual perversion, such as being unable to have sex unless they are killing a person, or some variation on it. They aren't always killers - sometimes it just involves having sex with dead people. I recommend you avoid either practice.

necrophilia- n : an irresistible sexual attraction to dead bodies [syn: necrophilia, necrophilism]
maniac- n: any intemperate or overly zealous or enthusiastic person
necromaniac would therefore be a mixture of the two. Someone who is overly zealous with their sexual attraction to dead bodies... ew.

Just going by the etymology of the word...someone who is obsessed with dead people.

The prefix "necro" refers to death/corpse, so I assume it is someone who is enthralled with death and corpses.
