My 9 yo daughter got her first zit today and fainted. Is that normal?
She's been and back from the ER, and everything is fine, but this was quite a reaction to acne. Am I just screwed for the next 9 years?
I wish I was just joking, but imagine turning around and seeing your little girl with her face planted on the floor - it was quite traumatic.
I know this sounds flippant, but it's my kind of coping.

Wow. Imagine when she gets her first period.

That must have been one hell of a zit! Seriously, I think once she starts seeing people in her own age group getting acne, the "fear factor" will be quickly overcome and replaced with boy troubles, or something else (then she'll wish all she had to worry about was the occasional zit!).

Get her proactiv or something, thats a bit too much of a reaction to a zit

Sounds like an over reaction.

maybe she faked it. I would not think that fainting over a zit is normal. What else is going on in her life that is stressful?

Wow, and I thought i had it bad, i used to faint pulling out my tooth, even when i didn't see blood! But hopefully it's a phase, and her stomach will get stronger as she grows older.

Wow. I've never heard of that. I'd talk to her doc. Did she faint cuz of acne complications or cuz she was scared / shocked?
