What degree do you need to be a psychological research assistant?

I'm going to college soon and wanted to know on how long it would take to be a psychological research assistant? Anybody know?

    Depends on the nature and scope of the research. If you are talking about a university, psychology or a related behaviorial science. If you are talking about a corporation or military research, they use mathmatical statisticians and systems analysts as well as people from behaviorial science. Some research organizations e take people with BS degrees and train them. Others want Doctoral level research assistants.

    I prefer my applicants have at least a BS in psychology.
