If the bible is the word of god, why didn't he write at least a few copies himself?

The was no need for the Bible in early creation. His law changed as people changed. He created two beings who immediately went against His wishes. Mankind chose evil ways over the way of the Lord. He amended His law each time humans found a new way to sin. The Bible was written by men, but their writings were guided by the Spirit of the Lord. John wrote Revelation as he saw it through a vision from the Lord. The inconsistencies you speak of are only found by scientists and non-believers. A true believer can know and understand the Bible through the same guidance of Spirit.

There are no inconsistencies in the Bible if you properly seek the truth of them that you think are incosistencies.

God has allowed us the opportunity to have enough evidence to believe in Him and enough not to believe in Him. Freedom of choice baby - everybody's gonna take a side whether they accept it or not.

Hey, times change, and so do laws. Take a look around you. The laws we ourselves write to control our lives in a somewhat civilized manner are in a constant state of change. Every time you make people bear down and follow a law, there's going to be at least one malcontent who'll dedicate their every waking moment to find a way to legally circumnavigate it. The Bible's even harder since it has to apply to an even broader population base. And His will was known, but that darned snake in the garden just had to be one of those malcontents, mess it up, and complicate everything from then on.

Inconsistancies only come when people aren't understanding what they're reading and take the scripture out of context. There are not inconsistancies. He did write the whole bible himself. He spoke through prophets. No one knows why he did it this way. Only he knows best. It is probably because a lot of what is written comes from peoples personal experiences with God. If he just wrote a book, and plunked it on earth, there would be no personal testimonies of people. I hope this helps

whose to say that the bible is god's word. What proof is there that this actually came from god and not some crackpot who said it was. and whose to say their is a god. I could go on and on, but it boils down to this and always has Faith! You either have it or you don't I figure it's always better to be safe than sorry :)

Yeah, but you know what publishers are like, they wanted a new into to the world and a whole new chapter just after the flood, and god couldn't be arsed to go through all that again.

who knows... maybe he did... but each time the bible was translated it was edited by who ever translated it... funny thing is. so many of the right wing ultra christians use the King James version of the bible as Gods word.. The King James Bible is called that because King James eddited it to changeit to his liking.. People have perverted it and changed it so much, that no one really knows what it said in the beginning. I think god is watching and wating to see how badly we perverse his words... just my opinion.
