How soon after becoming pregnant can feelings of nausea kick in?

I've been feeling sick, like I'm going to throw up every morning (though I never do) for about the past week, but if I was pregnant, I'd be less than a month along, so I don't know if the nausea is from something else.

Update:

I am going to the doctor tomarrow, and plan on being tested then so I'll know for sure, I was just kind of hoping (foolishly) that people would say "Oh no you have to be at least in your second trimester," etc, because I really don't want to be pregnant. I'm usually so careful too (21, and have never had a scare before) but there was a gap in my BC....

    Hi!

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well -- isn't nausea the worst? Please don't assume you're pregnant until you take a home pregnancy test. Nausea can happen for a number of reasons -- stress being a huge factor. Did you recently start school? Start a new job? Get engaged or married? Experience a family crisis? Any one of these situations can lead to problems that would lead you to feel nauseous in the morning.

In high school, I was queasy for my entire freshman year -- and only in the mornings. The reasoning (though I couldn't see it at the time) was simple: I was in a new situation and trying to make friends, fit in, get adjusted, etc. All that stress was just driving me to feel physically ill. By the end of the day, I was fine because I had survived my "encounter" with school. But, by the next morning, I was worked up again (internally) about having to do it all over again.

Currently, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and did experience quite a bit of morning sickness. For me personally, it didn't start until I was about 7 weeks along. (That would be about a month and a half into the pregnancy.) It came on full blown -- one day I was simply a little tired and the next I was extremely ill!

Your best bet is to simply put your mind at rest and take a home pregnancy test. I relied on the EPT or First Response tests to give me the - or + readings. Both are easy to do and give good, clear results. (No guesswork!) If you are pregnant and already sick, you have plenty of hormones to show up on the home pregnancy tests.

Good luck to you and let us know how it works out!

Everyone's bodies are different as every pregnancy is different. Some women have nausea right away and some don't have any or they may only get sick at the very end. I know for myself with my first pregnancy I never got sick till my last four weeks.... then I was sick every morning. With my second .. which is also my last.. I started getting sick around month 3 or 4 and I was sick all day and all night and it lasted about a month or a little over.

It's best to go to the dr's to find out for sure.

    good luck

its possible that you can be pregnant i felt nauses before i was a month too.. i would take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor to take a blood test since there the most acurate and then if your not pregnant maybe your stressed or something else that could have made you feel nauseas your more then likely pregnant though so good luck with the pregnancy

I was nauseated at around 6 - 8 weeks of being pregnant. However every pregnancy is different. You could always do a HPT to see if you are (I would wait at least one more week though until the day your period is due) or you could go see your dr and have him do a blood test

No two pregnancies are ever alike. Someone begin feeling sick at conception. Some women NEVER get sick. Some women are sick for a few hours a day, some women are sick all day long. Some women feel sick all during their pregnancies some only a few weeks (I was sick 24/7 during my 3rd month).

I had morning sickness from 2 weeks onward.

Eat a plain biscuit B4 U get outta the bed in the morning.

I found that was the only thing that helped.

Any surprise 2 find out I only have 1 child!

You can start experiencing morning sickness from the day of conception to 1-3 week after conception...every woman is different...some women dont even experience morning sickness at all.

each in certain situations i imagine maximum men are sociopaths through lady criteria. Or, in evaluation, extremely autistic (no offense to human beings plagued by autism). like the guy who stated: "I usually attempt now to not get to emotional about issues, its in ordinary words a buzz kill in my ideas." chum became purely being honest. Empathy is extra realized than we assume of. Ever considered a infant pull an animal's tail? Or snort even as she pushes yet another newborn round, because she`s made some type of outcome and were given a reaction? i imagine an excellent type of fellows in no way develop out of that. this is extra sturdy to achieve traditionally male aims when you're empathetic. They get punished for it. reason they socialise themselves, with their %.-ideas.
