On my comp i get a error report for IE, how do i fix this? tired of IE going down every 5 minutes.?
this is the error:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: yshortcut.dll
ModVer: 2005.11.10.2 Offset: 000058b2
not switching to mozilla, to many problems with them in the past. If it causes more problems I wont switch to it. Mozilla tends to block things when i try to search for something and reeks havoc on norton and my spy sweeper.

Have you updated your IE? If you go to Window's website there are downloads/updates that help IE.

i would just do a reinstall of IE...that would be the easiest way...
honestly i agree with the above though. Firefox is 100x better than IE...
also...if you get Firefox and every great while (not very often) a page will not display in firefox...but there is an extension for firefox that will allow you to right click a page and clie "view in IE" so there really is no need for IE anymore!!!!
firefox is a great upgrade for sure!!

Type iexplore.exe into your browser. It should let you know what is causing the problem.
We were getting a similar error. When I typed in NSCSRVCE.EXE, it told me it was Norton. Here we had Norton anti-virus, plus Norton Go Back with anti-viurs. Both seemed to be fighting with eachother. We uninstalled the first one, now, all's o.k.
Hope this works for you.

Internet Explorer just doesn't crash for the sake of crashing. There is a reason and 99/100 times it is adware and spyware. Switching to Firefox or another program just masks the problem of spyware, viruses, malware, and trojans.
Makes sure your virus software is up to date if not update the virus definitions.
If it's old or you just don't have protection get freeav.com
download adaware from lavasoftusa.com
Get windows defender from microsoft.com

FIREFOX!!
But keep IE around for good measure, every now and then I come across a page that doesn't open with mozilla, but that is really rare.
Just keep it as an obtrusive backup to FIREFOX.

Try a different browser like FireFox or Avant. But to fix I.E. you may try upgrading to Version 7. Though I mostly use other browsers I still find I.E. useful for certain applications. Contrary to popular belief I do run across instances where I.E. works better.
