I in fact collect (Eastern Orthodox) chant, whether it be Byzantine, Arabic, Russian or otherwise. I do have a few Gregorian chant cds but they have been tried and found wanting compared to most of the Eastern Christian chant I have heard(in person or recorded). My favourite album is called "The Athos of the North" chanted by the monastic choir of the Valaam Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour.

I have a cd that an online chatmate burned for me of real Buddhist monks chanting (well, it sounds more like a humming sound) together. Relaxes me. I have no idea where he got it, he is from Packistan, but he made it because I am an insomniac and he thought it would help. Yay, chatmates.

As much as I enjoy listening to Gregorian Chant, I prefer to sing it with a schola. (I also enjoy chanting Divine Office in Choir)
