How much does a lifeguard usually make?

I'm looking to lifeguard next summer and before I take the job, I was wondering how much I usually should be making, so that I can make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

    my sister gets paid liek 7 bucks an hour

    i live in south florida- lifeguards are treasured here. my friend is a lifeguard at one of the community pools- he makes about $20 an hour... not bad if you ask me..

    dude in Los Angeles a certified life guard can start at like 10.00 an hour

    don't expect to make a splash in this occupation. Many places merely look for "pool attendants" for liability purposes.

    Take what you can get, it not a hard job.
