Where do I go to get help ($)for lodging expenses for a family of a seriously injured girl in hospital?
Girl was involved in a diving accident, broke her C5 vertebrae and faces paralysis. Her mother would like to stay somewhere close to the hospital, since she most likely will be there for some time. i am looking for organizations that may help with funding for the lodging. She is not under 18, so Ronald McDonald houses won't work.

you can check with the Shriners. They might be able to assist you.
Shriners Hospitals are at the forefront of medical treatment and research in orthopaedic, burn and spinal cord injury care. (per their website)
I've also heard of people creating a Paypal account for someone and listing it on their journals (LJ, myspace, etc) and basically stating what it's for.

Talk to the administration of the hospital and see what options are available where you are. Things are different in each centre.
