Anyone Who Has Read TWILIGHT! I need your opinion on my own story idea? Is it too close to twilight's plot?
Ok so I'm writing a story about a girl who's lived in this town for a while and she's sorta a loner at school. And then this new greek guy moves to her school and she figures out he's a greek god. Too much liek figureing out Edwards a vampire?
Should I add in originall things to make it different? Maybe she can be a goth. haha

I don't really think it's too close to the Twilight plot. It's HOW you write the story that matters. Anyone can start out with a one or two sentence plot idea. If you were to give that plot line as a writing prompt in a roomful of writers...you'd all have different stories in the end. It's the writing that has to be original and interesting. It's how you develop the characters. They need to be *real* not imitation Bella and Edward. The important thing is to make the characters human enough to be believable--strengths, weaknesses...and likable. It's making the characters stand out and not be caricatures or stereotypes of some kind.

yes, i've read twilight by stephenie meyer. i think you should be more creative with you plot...but i like the greek god idea. that would be so awesome-ly better than a vampire. don't make the girl gothic because that wouldn't really fit much into the story with a god.
