Lemon juice and vinegar do strip color but they also ruin your hair! They strip your hair of the natural nutrients that make your hair strong. Just go to a hair salon and get it done professional so you won't end up bald in a few weeks.

I got my hair dyed by a hairdresser and it was absolutely awful, she kept telling me it was lovely and to wait and see how I felt about the new colour. As I was going out the following night, I used ordinary Fairy Washing Up Liquid to strip the colour and allow me to put in a base colour without it turning green or any other colour. I would imagine lemon and vinegar would just damage you hair and you wouldn't be able to colour it again for a while, it might strip it but to what shade and what damage. I got the tip of fairy liquid from my grandmother who was a highly qualified hairdresser herself.

If you want your hair alot lighter, the only thing i can suggest is a pre lightener kit and then your desired hair colourant .

If still unsure arrange a consultation with a hairdresser.

Considering I made myself look like a demented badger last week and ended up paying £70 to get it put right... I wouldnt bother.

*moral of story - vodka and dying hair.... bad choice*

No, because it can't penetrate the hair's cuticle. I'd suggest seeking professional advice if you don't wish your barnet to turn into a bird's nest.
