My thyme keeps dying, any advice.?

I keep watering it when I water my other herbs but, it keeps dying on me. Is it a dry plant? Could I be causing the roots to rot by watering it too much?

You don't say whether it is potted or in the ground. Most growers kill potted plants by overwatering. Water only when the top inch of soil is dry. Does the pot have drainage? Try popping it out and looking at the roots. Are they dusty-dry, or soggy? There's your clue.

If it's in the ground, it shouldn't need water after the first couple of weeks, unless you are really in drought conditions. Let mother nature take care of your plants. She'll do a great job!
