when a recipe calls for regular or table salt can i substitute sea salt?
also, would the amount be the same when substituting sea salt for basic salt in a recipe?

You can use sea salt in any recipe that calls for salt, except for pickling. I always substitute equal amounts, you don't have to measure differently.

Use the same amount as table salt.
I no longer use table salt except in the salt shaker as a condiment.
Either Kosher Salt or Sea Salt tastes better and the larger crystals are less volume per measure than table salt which is a good thing.
I find using herbs, lemon zest, garlic, ginger and lemon juice as flavor enhancers much better than loading up on salt.

You can use sea salt exactly the same way as you would table salt.
Although you may have to grind it a little as slightly coarser than regular/ table salt.

definitely go with the sea salt....maybe one day, it'll be the only commercial salt available!!

Yes, you can...Sea salt is better for you, anyway...Iodized salt has way too many impurities...Ever read the ingredients?
