Is it Gravy or sauce? Italians or italian decent only please!?

    Are you talking with pasta (noodles) or without? I am of Sicilian descent and I say our sauce is mostly sour, but, I prefer sweet sauce myself, the same sauce that goes with Lasagna. But, of course are talking tomato sauce, or alfredo sauce(which is mainly a cheese sauce). I guess it is with ever noodles you are serving it with.

    USE THE WORD "GRAVY" WHEN REFERRING TO GRAVY AND THE WORD "SAUCE" WHEN REFERENCING SAUCES. NEVER KNEW THAT TO BE AN ARGUMENT AMONG US ITALIANS.

    If you are a chef then it is sauce .If you are just a cook then it is gravy!
