Why do Christians keep telling Atheists their going to hell?

It is true they do that because I have been told that many times.

Just let it pass it is not that big of a deal. Keep in mind that they have been brainwashed in to believing in that way their whole life. You should show pity and try to invite them to see the truth. Normally they will only want to fight but try to keep them clam. Walk away if you can and remember you do have the right to defend your self. Most importune thing to remember that religious people have killed more people then any thing on this planet and should be considered as dangerous as a large tiger or bear.

Not all Christians tell. Those who tell may not know what is hell themselves.

Not all Atheists escape hell because they don't believe in hell; sooner or later many of them will repent.

I don't believe in a place called hell, but I really fear words and actions against the One True God, the Source of all light. Hell is right here and now in the darkness of our souls.

I'm a Christian and I've never told an Atheist that he or she is going to hell. That's for God to decide, and I wish some Christians would stop playing God... they sound a lot like the Scribes and the Pharisees in the days of Jesus.

If I knew that someone had unknowingly contracted a fatal disease from which we all suffer, and I told them I knew the cure for that disease, I would share that information with them out of love and concern. They might be offended and angry and claim not to be sick, but I would still tell them about the cure.

If Christians are wrong, and there is nothing after death, then they have lost nothing but gained a community, a sense of purpose, and peace by believing. If atheists are wrong, then all their indignant anger cannot save them.

Of course, I do know that some people come across as "holier than thou" or judgmental, and this is sad, because this attitude does turn some people away. But no matter how screwed up people are, and how many actions they try to justify in the name of religion, God is perfect and loves you whether you believe in Him or not.

If someone talks to you about Christ, take it as a compliment, even if you disagree. They are more concerned about your eternal soul than whether or not you like them. I try not to push my beliefs on my friends and family. I bring it up sometimes so they know where I stand, but I respect their right to believe what they wish. I have friends who are Baptist, Mormon, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh, Agnostic, even Wiccan. Great people, I love them all, and hope we get to hang out together for eternity. I believe that those christians that do go right to the "you're going to hell" argument are not the majority in my experience.

However, for those who have made that statement to me (and I've received at least 10 messages through Y! answers telling me that in one form or another) it's often because they are so weak in their faith that they can't defend it against some of the points I bring up.

That being said, I have also had some great debates with christians who are strong in their faith and can debate me.

I think it's because Christians feel it's their duty to make sure everyone undestands what might happen. In my opinion there is so much diversity in this world so why can't their be diverse religions where there is no one right religion.

That's is where not just christians go wrong but other religions do to. In my belief it's not what you believe or whether you belief it's what makes you happy and gets you through the day.

If someone is happy believng in nothing, then in my philosophy they shouldn't be told they are going to be condemned to hell.It's ridiculous.

OK, I am a Christian and wouldn't dare tell anyone they are going to hell. I believe God reserves the right to be judge and juror since He alone knows what is in a person's heart. After all, the scriptures repeatedly warn against judging.

According to Islamic teaching,most of us will go to hell

1)All satans will go to hell

2)All heathens,unbelievers,atheists,pagans and christians because do not trust to Allah the only one God,will go to hell

3)All muslims who do not obey what should be done and what should not be done in line with Islamic teaching will go to hell also.

4)All prophets including Jesus and most of the loyal followers of prophets and martyrs and died babies before grown up will go to heaven

5)A few of good muslims after the Muhammad era will go to hea

So in line with those criterias said above most of us will go to hell not only the atheists.We may do not believe it but it is spoken in the holy Qur'an and Hadith.So we should do the right things in line with life guidance from Allah the only one God if we are going to heaven.In the holy Qur'an said that most of human beings will be regret or repent in the hereafter or the great beyond,but our regrets will be late and no use.We should prepare our life well in this uneternal world if we are going to heaven.

I believe it strengthens their belief and makes them feel more Christian. Many Christians tell us that as a fear

tactic to make us believe, but fail to understand that we are not scared of what we perceive as a false world

created to scare people into being good and believing. I am not Christian, but that is the impression I have gotten from several Christians I have encountered and if I am wrong and you are Christian and can better enlighten me, please do.
