yes it is ok to own a talisman, talisman are charms, they are given and worn for a variety of reasons depending on the talisman. some bring good luck others good health, protection, wisdom, even wealth.

even the ancients wore talisman, so do not worry about owning a talisman, they are not bad and may even help.

I don't think you should be idolizing it. It is just an object anyway, what power does it have over you or for you? Remember the 10 commandments. Don't let Satan shift your faith in God to a lifeless handmade object. If it is a gift, just accept as a gift, like a souvenier.

there is nothing wrong in owning a tailsman. i have a medicine bag and carry it on certain occasions. also have made it known that it is to be buried with me. this medicine bag contains objects important to me however I don't worship the items.

Indy's got a good point. A tailsman for, say, protection isn't going to do you any good if you enjoy drunk joyriding. That said, it certainly can't hurt and could very well help.

Sure. Just don't rely on it to "do" things for you. even with something like prayer you have to do everything you can do first before thinking of relying on some mystical force to "help" you.
