If we have found a new supply of oil?

Then why cant we uncap and put back into use what we have already to go. Knowing we dont have to worry about running dry?

Because the politicians like Ted Kennedy, Dick Cheney, and George W. Bush are getting big money from the oil companies to keep the prices high. Also the Greenpeace ***-heads will whine and cry saying "You can't drill here". We have more oil than the entire middle east and yet we still keep depending on foreign oil.

What? I suggest you research what it actually takes in time, effort, investment and sheer luck to get a drop of oil out of the ground let alone sufficient supply to release us from foreign oil dependence. Not all oil is created the same, some oil costs several times the current market price just to extract it, let alone process it for commercial/retail use.

    It ain't that easy.

We will never run out of oil. There may come a time when the scarcity of oil makes the price of oil outrageously high. But we won't run out. That doesn't mean we should waste it though.

Yep, it's not ready for use overnight, ya' know...People are all hootin' and hollerin' about high gas prices, well, MOST of that money goes back into exploration, drilling, etc. etc. People want it both ways...It just ain't so.
