How can I get the Access Restrictions to work on the router?
I have the WRT54G, with firmware 1.00.9 (I upgraded from 1.00.6). I tried blocking by URL and blocking by Keyword. Neither one worked.
Any suggestions?
Yes, I am familair with getting into the router's Setup/Configuration page. That's where I tried the blocking options under Access Restrictions.
We've been able to use the Access Restrictions on an older wired Linksys router. But that burnt out (since we've had it for more than 4 years now).
I'd like to get the restrictions set up on this rotuer so we can also use the wireless feature. Its been great except for this particular problem.
Already tried blocking by URL and Keywords prior to posting this... no good - hence the firmware upgrade, and then we tried again. Any other ideas?

Here are how you set access restriction on Linksys WRT54G.
First is Enter policy name. You must give this policy a name. Good naming convention is to name it after the software or persons computer you wish to control. Next is edit lists of pc, type in mac address of pc you want to restrict, Next is a choice, do you Allow or Deny access to the internet. Next you can block some URLs by url address. Some examples of url address are www.ebay.com, www.msn.com, or www.yahoo.com. Then you have Block by Keywords. Which is just certain words to look for and block the site if the site contains thoose words. Examples would be sex, xxx, or adult.Next you can block certain services I leave my NONE.
