How do you keep your darker shades of eyeshadow from coming off of your eyelids and getting on the browbone?

I like to wear black eyeshadow on one half of my eyelid and a lighter shade on the other. evidently when i look up my eyeshadow rubs off of my lid and tranfers to my browbone.

How do I keep this from happening?

Update:

I use maybelline eyeshadow.

which is the best kind?

there are products you apply to your eyelid before applying your shadow that can help... go to a higher end makeup counter like lancome and ask a cosmetic tech.

There are "fixers" you can buy that put a light covering over the eyeshadow that prevents smudges. The cheaper route is to spray just a little hair spray on your lids once you've got the shadow just right. Make sure to keep your eyes closed until the hair spray dries (usually less than a minute). It sounds weird, but it was something we did in the 70's to fix our makeup in place.

To keep my make up from running, smudging, etc.. I put a little concealer before I put the eyeshadow on, this makes the eye shadow stay.

Maybelline is a good brand of eye products. Blot the shadow after you've put it on, and, if needed, a couple of times during the day.

This is what I like to do, and it works extremely well: before applying any eye-shadow, I first apply a liquid foundation all over my lids. Then I dust a loose powder over it. This will keep your eye-shadow in place, and it also prevents creasing. Hope that helps!

put some clear gloss eye shadow wich makes the black stay but u cant tell that theres clear gloss eyeshadow u can use this one before or after u put the regular eyeshadow on

    or

you can put foundation on BEFORE you put the eyeshadow on

i find that if you put a foundation on your eyelids and then your eyeshadow over the top it helps to keep the eyeshadow where its supposed to be.

WEll when you put on eyeshadow do it so its like a half-circle. so its like hardly toughing the brow. Then it wont travel to your brow. You have to do what i just said for it not to happen. The way you do it makes it go up.

ew nott nail polish try applying a base b4 u put on ur eye shadow. it will help anchor the powder n prevent it form smearing

also, try keeping cotton balls in your'e backpack so if it does rub off u can have a quick a fix.

Mary Kay triple action eye enhancer. it's incredible. i don't know how it works but you wont need to touch your eyes up all day. I'm telling you it's a must try. $15 and worth it. mainly stops creasing of eye shadow, gets rid of dark circles and fights wrinkles. Your shadow should stay in place.
