I just got 11 points for a best answer. 10 for the answer and 1 for a thumbs up.
I think I've spent too many hours on Answers when my first reaction is to ask a question instead of looking for myself! Time for sleep!!!!!!!

Hmmmm.... I don't know; they don't seem to have updated anything. I just rated a best answer and a question, and I didn't get any points. Maybe it's taking sometime, or we are just going to receive points from the thumbs up to our best answers.

If your answer is picked best answer and for every thumbs up on your answer you will get a point for each one, 50 points maximum...
