No it doesn't hurt too much afterward, you may have a little bit of an aggrevated sore throat, but it won't be that bad.

They give you a drug that causes concious sedation, you won't even know what hit you.

You won't remember it at all.

Do you mean EGD?? Esophogastroduodenoscopy? It's a test where a camera on the end of a long flexible tube is put down into your esophagus (the tube that connects your mouth to your stomach) and the doctor looks for abnormalities from your throat all the way down to the first section of your small intestine. It's often used to diagnose problems associated with stomach pain, ulcers, reflux, etc. There is very minimal discomfort afterwards, and if done properly (i.e. with the right medications during the procedure), you won't even remember it. Most people find they prefer to eat pudding and other soft foods the afternoon of the test, but by the next day they are back to normal.

Abortions are currently legal and the term medical and insurance professionals use is Medical Procedure because that's what it is. It's not say a Mechanical Procedure? Shooting and killing someone with a hand gun is not currently legal and terms the legal system uses for it is include Murder, Manslaughter, Justifiable Homicide, etc. Your rhetoric killed your point?
