I would say combine all of the other answers so far: make your usual nice meal but take it to a picnic spot, park, beach, or other unusual location; make up cute but simple coupons for backrubs, extra hugs, his choice of new or different "moves" in bed, etc.; make one of the coupons for financial literacy book(s) or to see a financial counselor together (to make the $$ situation easier in the future); a card, one rose, & you are always good gifts. What I would add would be giving your hubby a list of the things that you like, love, & admire most about him. If $$ is very tight, then maybe make a card instead of buying one, pick wildflowers or garden flowers, & write the list of things you like about him on a nice type of paper, then set aside some time (or make an appointment in advance) for some one on one alone time. Congrats on your healthy 6 yr. marriage.

Making a good dinner is very different then taking the time out to go to a nice romantic restaurant. Its the easiest and cheapest way. My husband and I are coming up on our 20th and since he already has too much jewelry and clothing and the typical stuff you buy I decided to make a change and take him to a restaurant that we have never tried. Something called the melting pot. fondue. Something different for both of us and very romantic place to go. Good luck and congratulations on your anniversary.

Just one red rose, a card and you. That worked the best for me and my husband - because we always wrote a really romantic message in the card. It's not how much something costs that's important - it's the idea that you love your husband and want to do something different, and reclaiming your love through words is the greatest and sweetest thing to do.

How bout you keep your money. through on that sexy panties set that you got from him last year that you've probably never worn and give him a full body massage then stick him in the shower and scrub the massage oil off. My man loved it when he came home from work and there I was well I'm sure you can figure out the rest. enjoy. I'm sure he will
