Who was St. Peter the Fisherman?

Peter was a fisherman when Jesus called him to be a Deciple, Jesus told him come follow me and I will make you a fisher of men.

One of the apostels, brother of andrew. Denied Jesus 3 times. Remember now?? Note he was a less educated person with a lack of forsight and intuition. When awakening in a jail with angels standing by, his chains removed, he had to be told to get dressed and leave. Latter he wrote "of Pauls teching which is hard to understand"-----. So although he is credited with being the founder of the catholic church he was neither a great thinker or very good at hiding cuz he most likely died in jail with Paul who sorta volunteered to be locked up so he could tell the emperor about God's plans.

He was Jesus' favorite disciple to whom Jesus said: You are the rock on which I will build my Church. The first Pope is said to have been St. Peter.

He was Peter, the apostle. You will find him in all four gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, and in his two letters, I and II Peter.
